From the recording Memphistopheles

Written as a master's thesis project; my personal take on the whole Memphis/Crossroads myth about spiritual aspects of musical virtuosity, the blues and soul music. The form is a 12 bar form with only two chords, a tri tone apart. All sounds are from an old RX5 Yamaha drum machine with live drums played by me and synthesizer by Cary Baddour, a great jazz pianist from Memphis. The music is a combination of classical, jazz, pop, ethnic influences such as Indian and African musics. I am quite proud of the drumming on this done all in one take.
